Pre-production's rehearsal video

I can't believe it's been almost one year since our last post! And I can't believe it took us almost four years to be able to show a small taste of our new material!

Recorded in May 2015, this is a small part of a song that will be in our upcoming album.

Days to come. Days gone by.

We are almost done with the songwriting process for what will become our first full-lenght, to be released hopefully sometime next year. The album will have a few surprises. This image gives you a clue to what is to come.

Since February we have parted ways with our drummer Jocke Wallgren. But that will not stop us from recording the album. As part of the Constantine P. Cavafy's poem "Candles" says:

"Days gone by fall behind us,
a gloomy line of snuffed-out candles;
the nearest are smoking still,
cold, melted, and bent.

I don’t want to look at them: their shape saddens me,
and it saddens me to remember their original light.
I look ahead at my lighted candles."

Doomed cheers from Sweden.

Gig at Rocks Bar - Stockholm

The gig at the Rocks Bar was great. Here are some pics and a short video from that night. Thanks to 0xist for coming all the way from Finland to play with us!

New band pics.

...and at least some decent pics with the ''not-so-new-anymore'' line-up. Taken on January 9th 2014:

Thanks to Carin Hovinen for taking the pics!

Premiere gig.

Finally we are going to play our first gig ever! It's going to be on the February 1st 2014 at Rocks Bar Stockholm together with the Finnish band 0 X í S T. That's going to be a very dark night...

Closure.

Almost one year since our last post... Personal struggles kept me from writing updates here. 2013 was a very bad year and I am glad it's almost over.

In the midst of all Morito Ergo Sum kept going. New songs are being written, the not-so-new-anymore members are well integrated in the band, rehearsals got better and better and we are now ready to go and play some live gigs. We actually have our first gig date confirmed. Details coming in a few days!

The plan is to do a few gigs in the beginning of 2014 and then focus on the material for a full-length album.

We will hopefully be on full-on mode very soon.

Doomed cheers,

/Paolo Cito & Morito Ergo Sum

New Line-up

We are going through some line-up changes... again!

Walter Basile (drums/vocals) is unfortunately not a member of Morito Ergo Sum anymore. The reasons for him not being in the band are irrelevant as we will continue to play together in another band we are working with.

On the drums we have now Jocke Wallgren, who also plays in the Black Metal band VALKYRJA.

Rehearsals with the new line-up as well as writing process of new songs are going strong and sounds promising!

Morito Ergo Sum is:
Sebastian Rosengren - Vocals/Violin
Xavier Aguilar - Lead Guitar
Paolo Cito - Rhythm Guitar
Harry Virtanen - Bass
Jocke Wallgren - Drums

Band bio updated.

We are not dead!

There's have been a long hiatus between posts about us here. That's because we are working on a lot on different things that will bring the band to a whole new level. And when I say a whole new level, I really mean it!

We had so much going on in the band in the last 6 months... but unfortunately we cannot tell anyone about it yet. All I can say is that, some of the news are about normal things that happens in a band's lifetime, and others are really huge stuff! But very soon we are coming with at least a part of the news regarding Morito Ergo Sum!

In the meantime we just want to remind you that our Ep is available for sale here. And more t-shirts in all sizes are going to be ready really soon for those who been asking about it!

Cheers,
/Paolo & Morito Ergo Sum

A little something...

A little gift for all people who's been supporting us out there: This is a video from one of the rehearsals during the pre-production of the Ep "Moonchild". A few small mistakes here and there, and no vocals as Walter was busy on the drums, but some of you might like to have a glimpse of how we would sound "live".

Filmed on July 29, 2011.
